On May 16, 2026, the Sounds of Silence 5K/10K Run & Walk will take place in Brightwaters, NY—bringing together hundreds of participants for a powerful community event focused on mental health awareness, suicide prevention, and connection.
As we prepare for this meaningful day, we are inviting local businesses to support the event by donating a raffle basket or gift card.

Raffle items play a key role in the success of our event. They help us engage participants, create excitement, and raise additional funds that directly support our mission. Every donation—big or small—makes a real impact.
A Strong Local Connection
The Sounds of Silence (SOS) event has deep ties to the Commack community. Our founder is a teacher at Commack High School who has positively impacted many students and families over the years. Additionally, many of our volunteers and supporters have personal connections to the area.
Historically, about half of our participants come from the Commack community, making local business involvement especially meaningful.
